Privacy policy.
Short version: no accounts, no logins, no cookies. This page is long because the law prefers long pages.
MaterialForeman is a static site. No account is created, no email is requested, no server logs user inputs. Calculator values typed into the widgets stay on the device and optionally round-trip through the URL query string when a result is shared.
The hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) receives standard request metadata for every page view: IP address, user-agent string, referring URL, and timestamp. This data is used for service delivery, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic statistics. It is retained per Cloudflare's standard log retention policy.
Page-view statistics come from a cookieless analytics tool that does not set identifiers, does not track users across sessions, and does not share data with third parties for advertising. No banner appears because nothing collected meets the definition of personal data under GDPR or CCPA.
MaterialForeman plans to run display advertising in a future phase. When ads ship, this section will be updated to name the ad network, describe the programmatic-advertising data flow, and link to the network's consent management platform. The update will also appear as a dated entry in the changelog. Until that update appears, no advertising data is collected on this site.
Certain outbound links to retailer product pages are affiliate links. Clicking an affiliate link drops a cookie set by the retailer's affiliate platform (Impact, Commission Junction, or similar), which tracks whether a purchase is made on the retailer's site. That cookie is not set or read by MaterialForeman. See the affiliate disclosure for how this works and how it affects calculator content.
California residents have the right to know what personal information a site collects, the right to delete that information, and the right to opt out of its sale or sharing. MaterialForeman does not sell personal information. When advertising ships, a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link will appear in the footer. Until then, no such flow is needed because no personal data leaves the site.
Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland have the right to request access to personal data held by a site, the right to correction of inaccurate data, the right to erasure (right to be forgotten), the right to restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability in a machine-readable format. The lawful basis for any processing on this site is legitimate interest in running the service, and no automated decision-making or profiling takes place. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with "Privacy" in the subject line. Requests are handled within 30 days at no cost. Complaints can also be filed with a supervisory authority in the country of residence.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Parents who believe a child has provided information should contact the address below for removal.
Privacy questions: [email protected]. Reference "Privacy" in the subject line.
Material changes to this policy will be logged in the changelog with the effective date. Continuing to use the site after a change means acceptance of the updated policy.
